Campaign Progression – Smooth Sailing
The campaign in Path of Exile 2 consists of six expansive acts, each filled with deadly enemies, engaging boss fights, and rich lore. Designed to be more cohesive and intuitive than its predecessor, PoE 2’s campaign features streamlined quest tracking, improved navigation, and more dynamic enemy encounters. Progressing efficiently through the campaign is key to unlocking the endgame and setting your build up for success.

1. Focus on Main Objectives
While there are plenty of side quests and detours, you should prioritize the main story quests to maintain a steady level and gear progression. The campaign is structured in a way that each act naturally ramps up difficulty and introduces new gameplay elements—like resistances, new enemy types, and boss mechanics.

Follow the quest markers and map indicators.

Main quests often lead to skill point rewards or access to POE currency new zones.

If you’re over-leveled, feel free to skip optional areas unless you’re hunting specific gear or crafting recipes.

2. Pick Up and Use Waypoints
