Anglers are the kind of enemy that makes you stop looting and start paying attention. One second you're wading through a quiet patch of Mire water, the next you're on fire and wondering where that lump of mud even came from. Still, if you're running low on Acid or you keep chewing through Adhesive on repairs, you'll put up with them. I usually stock up first, then head out, and if I'm short on travel money I'll even buy fallout 76 caps so I can keep the route tight without walking half the map for it.

Where They Actually Show Up
The Mire is the main event, no debate. Crevasse Dam is my opener because it's quick to check and the spawns are often right where you'd expect: near the waterline and in the soggy edges around the structure. Clear that pocket, then move to Dyer Chemical without drifting too far inland. The shoreline behind the facility is the real tell; follow the muddy bank, check the shallow pools, and you'll often catch them mixing in with other Mire nasties. If you still want more, Treehouse Village and the nearby rivers are worth a sweep, especially if you're willing to server hop when the area feels "dead."

Quieter Runs Outside The Mire
When The Mire's crowded or you're just not in the mood for a mess, Highland Marsh can be a calmer farm. It's foggy and awkward to see through, which is exactly why Anglers like it, but you're less likely to have someone sprint in and tag everything. I've had good luck checking the wrecked boats and the flooded walkways first, then looping back along the water instead of cutting across the dry paths. Thunder Mountain Substation TM-02 isn't a guaranteed payout, but it's a nice bonus stop if you're already nearby for an event or you're doing a circuit for other materials.

Fighting Them Without Getting Cooked
Don't treat Anglers like regular swamp trash. Their fire spit stacks up fast, and if you panic-heal you'll burn through stims for no reason. Fire resistance helps, sure, but positioning matters more: keep a bit of range, break line of sight, and don't stand in open water like a target dummy. I aim for the head or the bright bits when I can, then finish with whatever's reliable up close if they push. Auto rifles feel safe because you can keep pressure on them, and a decent shotgun is great when one pops up in your face and you just need it gone.

Keeping The Farm Loop Worth It
The loop is what makes the whole thing feel less like punishment. Start at Crevasse Dam, hit Dyer Chemical's back shoreline, then sweep a river stretch toward Treehouse Village before you hop servers and reset the rhythm. Cook the meat for XP buffs, scrap and stash, then go again while your brain's still in "route" mode. And if you like smoothing out the grind with quick pickups or extra currency options, eznpc is the kind of place players use to grab game items and keep their builds moving without losing an evening to errands.
